Picture this: Lauren, all glam, getting dolled up in the rustic Stables, while Michael suited up in one of Worrowing's country houses. It's like a scene from a rom-com, but with more laughs and a few raindrops.

So, rain crashed the party, but did it dampen anyone's spirits? Nope! Instead, it turned the whole affair into a romantic cosy celebration. Cue the umbrellas—friends and family huddled up, witnessing the vows amidst the rain.

The Hereford Shed became the perfect shelter for the reception fun. Fairy lights, good vibes, and a dance floor that witnessed some serious moves—it was a night to remember. Lauren and Michael danced, laughed, and partied like rain was just confetti from the sky.

Bryce and Jade's Wedding

Today I am sharing the highlights from a beautiful wedding that was held in Culburra on November 4th. Bryce and Jade, our ultimate fun loving couple, threw a celebration that was nothing short of amazing.

First things first, let's talk about longevity. These two have been together for a solid 15 years! That's right, 15 years of making memories, creating a family and building a dream life together. Did I mention they're high school sweethearts? How sweet!

Now, imagine this: a private property, a white marquee filled with fairy lights, and a lot of rain. But did that stop Bryce and Jade from throwing one hell of a party? Not a chance!

Their bridal party, including their little ones, turned the whole day into a special celebration. Luckily for Bryce and Jade there was a break in the rain just long enough for an outdoor ceremony. The two exchanged heartfelt vows, rings and made promises to one another.

They spent the afternoon with charged glasses waiting for little breaks in the rain to duck outside for some portraits before heading back to join their guests.

Now, let's talk about the reception. There was good food and great music. Bryce and Jade celebrated the night with two towers, the first was filled with champagne and the second with donuts.

And then came the shoe game. The revelations had the marquee in stitches! Bryce and Jade spilled the tea on each other, making everyone crack up and adding a hilarious element to the evening.

Once the formalities were over, Bryce and Jade hit the dance floor, showing us that 15 years of togetherness only makes the love stronger. Surrounded by cheers and applause, they proved that love isn't just about the sunshine moments; it's about dancing through the rain together.

Cheers to the high school sweethearts who turned a rainy day into a love-filled adventure!

Jess and Ben's Sussex Inlet Wedding

On October 27, 2023, Jess and Ben threw the most epic wedding, rain and all. The day kicked off with the couple preparing at separate houses. A surprise rainstorm forced a last-minute switch to the ceremony location, the Pelican Shores main deck which overlooks the crystal clear waters of Sussex Inlet.

The Brown Family

Last week I caught up with the Brown family at their home in Greenwell Point. Daniel and Lauren have recently welcomed their daughter Lara into the world and it was so nice to see these guys adjusting to life as a family of four. I captured some precious moments in a candid, relaxed way with big brother Cooper too. Here are the highlights from our session.

Athol and Michaela's Elopement

In the quiet embrace of Guerilla Bay, Athol and Michaela started the next chapter of their love story on the sands of a private beach. With just four in attendance – the bride, the groom, the celebrant, and myself - it really was an intimate elopement.

Against the backdrop of the ocean, the couple exchanged vows and rings, and sealed their commitment with a unqiue tradition of sand-blending at the ceremony. The grains of sand mingled, symbolising the fusion of two lives becoming one.

Guerilla Bay's untamed beauty provided the perfect setting for a love story that favored simplicity over extravagance. As the waves crashed on the shore and the sun dipped below the horizon, Athol and Michaela's elopement became a testament to the idea that love is about two people choosing each other.

Being both witness and photographer to this intimate celebration was an honour, capturing the essence of a love story that unfolded on the secluded shores of Guerilla Bay. Congratulations Athol and Michaela.

Brandon and Lucy's Homestead Berry Wedding

Love knows no bounds, and sometimes, it's found in the most unexpected places. Lucy and Brandon's love story is a testament to that, and their wedding on Friday the 13th of October at The Homestead in Berry was a day filled with love and laughter.

The day began with anticipation as Lucy and Brandon got ready separately in the charming cottages at The Homestead. Lucy was a vision in white, her excitement radiating as she prepared to say "I do." She shared a beautiful first look with her father and then her bridesmaids who were so excited to open the barn doors and share in Lucy's joy.

The ceremony took place in front of the iconic Ivy covered silo at The Homestead. In a departure from tradition, it was Brandon who was walked down the aisle first, accompanied by his parents. The symbolism of his parents escorting him down the aisle was a touching tribute to the support and love they'd given him throughout his life. Then, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived – Lucy, escorted by her father, took the walk towards her future husband. The moment bought them both to tears.

Fate played its hand, weaving their paths together in on the other side of the world, and their love had since blossomed into something beautiful. As they exchanged heartfelt vows and shared their personal anecdotes of love, their guests were reminded of the power of serendipity and the beautiful connections that can be forged across the globe.

The afternoon was filled with joy as the bridal party posed for portraits, capturing the fun of their love and friendship. Lucy was a true picture of happiness, her smile never fading, and Brandon's easy-going nature complemented her perfectly.

The reception was a lovely celebration of their love story, with friends and family coming together to toast to the couple's future. They enjoyed a delicious sit-down meal while they listened to heartfelt toasts and speeches that showcased the love and support that Lucy and Brandon had garnered over the years. One of the highlights of the evening was the shoe game, a lighthearted game that had everyone in stitches as Lucy and Brandon playfully answered questions about their relationship. The night finished with the couple’s choreographed first dance, which was perfectly rehearsed and had everyone circling around and quickly joining them.
