FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Over the years we have found these questions to be the most frequently asked. If you don’t find your question answered here, please let us know and we would be more than happy to help.
When will our photos be ready?
In our contract we allow six weeks for your photos to be ready. This is the maximum length of time it will take; in our quiet periods it will be around four weeks. When your photos are ready, we post the highlights on a blog post, we mail the USB, and we upload the images online so you can download them at home or straight onto your device.
When do we need to decide which package we would like?
We do not need to know this information straight away. We understand that you are usually in the early stages of planning when you secure your photographer. However, we would suggest letting us know if you would like a second photographer early in the planning so we can ensure we have one available. Often our couples will decide the length of coverage they require once they create their run sheet.
Do you offer videography?
We now offer videography alongside our photography packages.
How do we book?
We just need you to fill out a booking form and we require a $500 non-refundable retainer to secure your date.
Can we chat to see if you are the right fit?
We are happy to have a chat via Zoom or Facetime to get to know one another and to discuss your day.
Are you insured?
Absolutely. If your venue requires you to provide our Public Liability insurance, please just let us know and we can send you a copy.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
We sure do offer engagement photography sessions. We find these sessions can be a great way to get to know one another, feel comfortable in front of the camera and the images can be used for announcements or save the dates.
Can you hold the date while we decide?
Unfortunately, we are unable to hold a date without a non-refundable retainer. We serve our clients on a first in, first served basis.
Can we give you a list of photos we want on the day?
You can provide a list however it will not be used constantly throughout the day as we would be missing authentic moments if we are constantly checking the list. Sam’s style is photojournalistic, he prefers to capture candid shots as they are happening rather than posed shots as per a list. If you would like to create a list of family combinations, we suggest providing two copies; one to us and one to a member of the bridal party who can assist in gathering those people.
Can we have a group shot with everyone?
Of course! The easiest way to make this happen is to request your celebrant to ask everyone to stay behind before guests start to depart.
How much time do we need for portraits?
We suggest a minimum of 60 minutes. This will ensure enough time for photos with the bridal party as well as the married couple on their own.
