Love knows no bounds, and sometimes, it's found in the most unexpected places. Lucy and Brandon's love story is a testament to that, and their wedding on Friday the 13th of October at The Homestead in Berry was a day filled with love and laughter.
The day began with anticipation as Lucy and Brandon got ready separately in the charming cottages at The Homestead. Lucy was a vision in white, her excitement radiating as she prepared to say "I do." She shared a beautiful first look with her father and then her bridesmaids who were so excited to open the barn doors and share in Lucy's joy.
The ceremony took place in front of the iconic Ivy covered silo at The Homestead. In a departure from tradition, it was Brandon who was walked down the aisle first, accompanied by his parents. The symbolism of his parents escorting him down the aisle was a touching tribute to the support and love they'd given him throughout his life. Then, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived – Lucy, escorted by her father, took the walk towards her future husband. The moment bought them both to tears.
Lucy and Brandon's love story had a unique twist - they met abroad while on separate Contiki trips. Fate played its hand, weaving their paths together in on the other side of the world, and their love had since blossomed into something beautiful. As they exchanged heartfelt vows and shared their personal anecdotes of love, their guests were reminded of the power of serendipity and the beautiful connections that can be forged across the globe.
The afternoon was filled with joy as the bridal party posed for portraits, capturing the fun of their love and friendship. Lucy was a true picture of happiness, her smile never fading, and Brandon's easy-going nature complemented her perfectly.
The reception was a lovely celebration of their love story, with friends and family coming together to toast to the couple's future. They enjoyed a delicious sit-down meal while they listened to heartfelt toasts and speeches that showcased the love and support that Lucy and Brandon had garnered over the years. One of the highlights of the evening was the shoe game, a lighthearted game that had everyone in stitches as Lucy and Brandon playfully answered questions about their relationship. The night finished with the couple’s choreographed first dance, which was perfectly rehearsed and had everyone circling around and quickly joining them.
As photographers, capturing Lucy and Brandon's wedding was so much fun. Their love story was one for the books, a reminder that love can be found in the most unexpected places, and that Friday the 13th can be a lucky day for love. Thank you for having us guys and congratulations to you both!
