Christopher and Emma's Sussex Inlet wedding

On the 2nd of March 2024 Christopher and Emma tied the knot in their hometown Sussex Inlet. They spent the morning apart getting ready for their seaside ceremony where they locked eyes for the first time at the end of the aisle. Friends and family gathered for the beautiful celebration which saw two families become one and soul mates marry.

One thing that was very important to Christopher and Emma was acknowledging the people unable to be there, they displayed photographs of their love ones in heaven and you could sense how missed they were. It was through this beautiful gesture that they were reminded of how important celebrating marriage is and how lucky they were to have such a beautiful supportive circle of friends surrounding them on their wedding day.

Congratulations to Christopher and Emma on your marriage, what a beautifully wholesome day.

Harry and Jenneke's Worrowing Wedding

On the 29th of February Harry and Jenneke tied the knot at Worrowing Estate in Jervis Bay. One thing was very important to this couple on the day of their wedding, and that was ensuring that they spent one on one time with each other. While they kept things traditional in the morning by spending time with their bridal party, they put a twist on a first look and met up in the Stables to help each other finish getting ready. This meant that they could check in and have some quality time together ahead of the formalities.

They had a gorgeous garden ceremony outside the homestead which was live streamed for their loved ones who were unable to attend. They exchanged beautiful vows and made promises of forever before sealing their marriage with a kiss. After they signed their marriage documents they made their way down the aisle hand in hand, as husband and wife.

The afternoon was spent exploring the grounds for portraits before heading to the Hereford Shed for a night to remember.

Our Vow Renewal

Today we are sharing some extra special photos, our own. This year we celebrate ten years of marriage and life looks a little different now than it did back in 2014. We decided to have our photos taken at Merribee Gardens with our two daughters ahead of our private vow renewal in May. This year we are expecting our third baby and we wanted to have the portraits taken earlier in the pregnancy before the gown will no longer fit. Having worked in the wedding industry for the last seven years weddings are a popular topic of conversation in our home and our girls were very eager to finally be part of one.

To us, marriage is the most important thing. We got engaged really young, and looking back it was the best decision. We share the same values and vision for our life, and ten years on we are really proud of the family we are raising and the partnership we have.

Here are some of the highlights taken by our dear friend Bodhi at one of our favourite South Coast wedding venues.

Nathan and Ashlee's Seacliff House Wedding

On the 24th of February Nathan and Ashlee held their beautiful south coast wedding at Seacliff House in Gerringong. The two started the morning apart so they could get ready with their own side of the bridal party and their family before making their way to the ceremony. The couple’s gorgeous style set the tone for the day, beginning with their show stopping florals.

Nathan and Ashlee said “I do” with rolling green hills as their backdrop and views out to the ocean. They stood side by side while they made promises for the future. Once officially married they shared a kiss, signed the paperwork and made their way back down the aisle, hand in hand, as husband and wife.

Since family and friends came from far and wide to celebrate, they wanted their big day to be extra special. That’s why they chose a venue where they could throw one hell of a party.

As the evening progressed to the reception in the barn at Seacliff House, the celebrations really started, with charged glasses and lots of throwback songs that got everyone on the dance floor.

James and Samantha's Bendooley Wedding

When James and Samantha were planning their Southern Highlands wedding, they shared the same vision for an unforgettable day in a beautiful location. They both fell in love with Bendooley Estate and wanted to host a cosy evening in the Book Barn.

Nestled in the beautiful country landscape, the pair said “I do” surrounded by their loved ones who were huddled around them protected from the rain. While the sporadic showers weren’t in the plan, they didn’t let them dampen the day.

Their choice of a garden outlook, styled beautifully with modern florals and a fresh colour palette, took the romance to a whole new level. It was truly a magical celebration of love that the couple pulled off effortlessly.

Together with their team of vendors James and Samantha transformed the Book Barn into a magical space for the reception. They added beautiful linen and florals to the tables capes which added to the romantic charm of the space.

Nathan and Allie's Kiama Wedding

Love knows no boundaries, and on the picturesque 10th of February 2024, Nathan and Allie proved just that as they embarked on their journey together in the breathtaking setting of Kiama. Nestled against the backdrop of Kiama's stunning landscapes, their wedding was nothing short of a fairytale.

The ceremony itself was a sight to behold as it unfolded overlooking the majestic beauty of Kiama. With the ocean waves crashing against the shore as if in celebration, Nathan and Allie exchanged vows that echoed with the promise of a lifetime of love and happiness.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their loved ones ventured to the iconic blowhole for some memorable portraits. Against the backdrop of nature's wonders, Nathan and Allie's love shone brightly, capturing the essence of their special day.

The festivities continued at the Kiama Pavilion, where friends and family gathered to celebrate their marriage. What made this wedding even more unique was the beautiful fusion of cultures – a blend of Samoan and Chilean traditions that added an extra layer of richness to the festivities.

As the night unfolded, the reception was filled with joyous laughter, heartfelt speeches, and, of course, plenty of dancing. The air was alive with the rhythm of celebration as guests partook in traditional dances and performances, honoring both Nathan's Samoan heritage and Allie's Chilean roots.

Billy and Laura's Wedding at The Cove Jervis Bay

Love was in the salty air as Billy and Laura tied the knot in a picturesque ceremony at The Cove Jervis Bay on the first of February. The coastal charm of the venue set the stage for a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Billy and his groomsmen prepared for the big day in the glam room, while Laura and her bridesmaids enjoyed the tranquil ambiance of the ocean cabin. Excitement filled the air as they made final preparations, anticipation building for the moments that lay ahead. The bridesmaids shared a special moment with Laura on the balcony where they had a first look which was followed by another emotional moment with her father.

The ceremony itself was a sight to behold, adorned with vibrant, colorful flowers that complemented the natural beauty of the ocean backdrop. Against this breathtaking setting, Billy and Laura exchanged vows, promising to love and cherish each other for a lifetime.

With the formalities concluded, the newlyweds kicked off cocktail hour in style, indulging in a margarita tower to celebrate their marriage. As the sun dipped lower in the sky, they set off for portraits on the beach, where we captured the magic of their love against the backdrop of the sea.

The Wright Family in Jervis Bay

Here are a few of my favourite photos from one of my last sessions of the year. This was an extended family session in beautiful Jervis Bay. Having multiple families in the one shoot means lots of combinations e.g. individual families, cousins, and siblings. Extended family sessions are also a great gift for the grandparents. Thank you Emma for organising this Christmas booking.

Matthew and Britnie's Terara Riverside Wedding

I photographed my last wedding for the year on the 16th of December and let me tell you, the season finished on such a high! Matthew and Britnie tied the knot at Terara Riverside Gardens in a gorgeous afternoon ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family.

Britnie, a woman of many talents, managed to plan her dream wedding while navigating the demanding waters of completing her master's degree and wrapping up her final thesis. The dedication she exhibited in both her academic pursuits and wedding preparations were truly commendable.

The day began with a sense of anticipation and excitement as Matthew and Britnie spent the morning apart, each immersed in their own preparations for the momentous occasion. They both expressed their excitement to see one another and their eagerness to finally be married.

The ceremony itself took place in the gorgeous Greenhouse at Terara Riverside Gardens, a lush setting that provided a picturesque backdrop for the exchange of vows. Britnie was walked halfway down the aisle by her proud father, creating a heartwarming scene that spoke volumes about the bonds of family and tradition. As she reached the midpoint, Matthew took her hand, symbolising the beginning of their shared journey as a married couple. The ceremony was a deeply emotional affair, with both Matthew and Britnie shedding tears of joy and gratitude. The authenticity of their emotions resonated with everyone present, creating an atmosphere of love.

Following the heartfelt ceremony, the newlyweds took advantage of the stunning venue for afternoon portraits. The picturesque surroundings of Terara Riverside Gardens provided the perfect canvas for capturing the newlyweds.

The festivities continued as the couple and their guests made their way to the marquee for a traditional sit-down reception. The marquee, adorned with fairy lights and flowers, set the stage for an evening of celebration. The air was filled with laughter, toasts, and the clinking of glasses as friends and family came together to honour the happy couple.

Matthew and Britnie's wedding was not just a celebration of love but a testament to the strength of their bond, which had weathered the storms of academic challenges and the highs and lows of wedding planning. As I captured each moment through my lens, it was evident that this union was not only a merging of two individuals but a blending of dreams, aspirations, and a shared future.
