Dylan and Hayley's Jervis Bay Engagement session

Last week I caught up with recently engaged couple Dylan and Hayley to capture some photos for them at Blenheim Beach in Jervis Bay. These two are planning to spend the year before their wedding traveling our beautiful country so they have lots to celebrate and look forward to. Here are some of my favourite shots from our morning together.

Congratulations on your engagement and see you guys at the wedding!

Nathan and Allie's Kiama Wedding

Love knows no boundaries, and on the picturesque 10th of February 2024, Nathan and Allie proved just that as they embarked on their journey together in the breathtaking setting of Kiama. Nestled against the backdrop of Kiama's stunning landscapes, their wedding was nothing short of a fairytale.

The ceremony itself was a sight to behold as it unfolded overlooking the majestic beauty of Kiama. With the ocean waves crashing against the shore as if in celebration, Nathan and Allie exchanged vows that echoed with the promise of a lifetime of love and happiness.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their loved ones ventured to the iconic blowhole for some memorable portraits. Against the backdrop of nature's wonders, Nathan and Allie's love shone brightly, capturing the essence of their special day.

The festivities continued at the Kiama Pavilion, where friends and family gathered to celebrate their marriage. What made this wedding even more unique was the beautiful fusion of cultures – a blend of Samoan and Chilean traditions that added an extra layer of richness to the festivities.

As the night unfolded, the reception was filled with joyous laughter, heartfelt speeches, and, of course, plenty of dancing. The air was alive with the rhythm of celebration as guests partook in traditional dances and performances, honoring both Nathan's Samoan heritage and Allie's Chilean roots.

From the first dance to the last, Nathan and Allie's wedding was a testament to the power of love, unity, and cultural diversity. It was a day filled with warmth, happiness, and a sense of belonging – a celebration of love that transcended borders and brought together two families in a beautiful tapestry of traditions.

As the night drew to a close, it was evident that Nathan and Allie's love story was just beginning. Their wedding day in Kiama would forever be remembered as a magical chapter in their journey together – a chapter marked by love, laughter, and the promise of a lifetime of happiness.

Scott and Charlotte's Engagement Session

What better way to celebrate this amazing time in your life than with an engagement session? On Sunday the 4th of February I met up with Scott and Charlotte in beautiful Jervis Bay for a romantic session on the beach right as the sun set. My engagement sessions are super relaxed and fun, and they help to get you ready for being in front of the camera on your wedding day. Here are some of my favourite photographs from our shoot.

Billy and Laura's Wedding at The Cove Jervis Bay

Love was in the salty air as Billy and Laura tied the knot in a picturesque ceremony at The Cove Jervis Bay on the first of February. The coastal charm of the venue set the stage for a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Billy and his groomsmen prepared for the big day in the glam room, while Laura and her bridesmaids enjoyed the tranquil ambiance of the ocean cabin. Excitement filled the air as they made final preparations, anticipation building for the moments that lay ahead. The bridesmaids shared a special moment with Laura on the balcony where they had a first look which was followed by another emotional moment with her father.

The ceremony itself was a sight to behold, adorned with vibrant, colorful flowers that complemented the natural beauty of the ocean backdrop. Against this breathtaking setting, Billy and Laura exchanged vows, promising to love and cherish each other for a lifetime.

With the formalities concluded, the newlyweds kicked off cocktail hour in style, indulging in a margarita tower to celebrate their marriage. As the sun dipped lower in the sky, they set off for portraits on the beach, where we captured the magic of their love against the backdrop of the sea.

As evening descended, guests gathered in the beautifully decorated wedding hall for the reception. Laughter and joy filled the air as heartfelt speeches were shared, celebrating the love and journey of Billy and Laura. The dance floor came alive with music, as friends and family joined in to celebrate the newlyweds' happiness.

As the night drew to a close, it was evident that Billy and Laura's wedding was more than just a celebration—it was a testament to the love and the joy that comes from finding your soulmate. Sean and Nina's Greyleigh Wedding

When Sean and Nina were planning their South Coast wedding, they had a shared goal: make it an unforgettable day for everyone. And with the help of their awesome wedding suppliers, family and friends they nailed it!

They chose to tie the knot at Greyleigh, a breathtaking venue immersed in both history and nature. Their garden ceremony overlooked the surrounding countryside and undulating hills. Their soft whimsical florals and colour palette took romance to a whole new level.

Nestled in the Kiama countryside, the pair chose the beautiful Gables for the celebrations to continue. What was once known as the original dairy shed has since been re-purposed into a character filled reception venue. This unique building was decorated beautifully for the sit-down reception.

Bringing their loved ones together for such a special occasion was a big deal for Sean and Nina, and they wanted the love they felt for each other to shine through every moment of the celebration.

Sean and Nina’s wedding was my first day back after the holiday period and they have surely set the benchmark for the year. Congratulations newlyweds!

The Wright Family in Jervis Bay

Here are a few of my favourite photos from one of my last sessions of the year. This was an extended family session in beautiful Jervis Bay. Having multiple families in the one shoot means lots of combinations e.g. individual families, cousins, and siblings. Extended family sessions are also a great gift for the grandparents. Thank you Emma for organising this Christmas booking.

Matthew and Britnie's Terara Riverside Wedding

I photographed my last wedding for the year on the 16th of December and let me tell you, the season finished on such a high! Matthew and Britnie tied the knot at Terara Riverside Gardens in a gorgeous afternoon ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family.

Britnie, a woman of many talents, managed to plan her dream wedding while navigating the demanding waters of completing her master's degree and wrapping up her final thesis. The dedication she exhibited in both her academic pursuits and wedding preparations were truly commendable.

The day began with a sense of anticipation and excitement as Matthew and Britnie spent the morning apart, each immersed in their own preparations for the momentous occasion. They both expressed their excitement to see one another and their eagerness to finally be married.

The ceremony itself took place in the gorgeous Greenhouse at Terara Riverside Gardens, a lush setting that provided a picturesque backdrop for the exchange of vows. Britnie was walked halfway down the aisle by her proud father, creating a heartwarming scene that spoke volumes about the bonds of family and tradition. As she reached the midpoint, Matthew took her hand, symbolising the beginning of their shared journey as a married couple. The ceremony was a deeply emotional affair, with both Matthew and Britnie shedding tears of joy and gratitude. The authenticity of their emotions resonated with everyone present, creating an atmosphere of love.

Following the heartfelt ceremony, the newlyweds took advantage of the stunning venue for afternoon portraits. The picturesque surroundings of Terara Riverside Gardens provided the perfect canvas for capturing the newlyweds.

The festivities continued as the couple and their guests made their way to the marquee for a traditional sit-down reception. The marquee, adorned with fairy lights and flowers, set the stage for an evening of celebration. The air was filled with laughter, toasts, and the clinking of glasses as friends and family came together to honour the happy couple.

Matthew and Britnie's wedding was not just a celebration of love but a testament to the strength of their bond, which had weathered the storms of academic challenges and the highs and lows of wedding planning. As I captured each moment through my lens, it was evident that this union was not only a merging of two individuals but a blending of dreams, aspirations, and a shared future.

The Cavallaro Family

Earlier this month I caught up with my past clients Nathan and Rachel for a family session. Life for the Cavallaro’s looks a little busier since we last saw one another, the kids are growing up and are so busy and adventurous. We met up in Berry, NSW at the Rotary Park so they could play and explore while we captured some natural photos.

Jamie and Laine's Somerley House Wedding

Laine and Jamie dreamed of having their wedding in a beautiful location. They wanted somewhere that they could host a ceremony that would seamlessly transition into a garden party and then to a formal sit-down reception. They didn’t want their guests to be stuck in cars or left with nothing to do while they had their portraits taken. They were thoughtful in finding somewhere that allowed an all day celebration for their loved ones. Luckily, they found Somerley House and they knew it would be perfect for their timeless wedding. They chose a modern colour palette and classic style. It was everything they could have wanted, and more.

They chose to have their ceremony in front of the Georgian style homestead. Just imagine it: a bride and groomed framed with a white arbour covered in gorgeous white and blue florals standing alongside their matching bridal party. They said “I do”, exchanged rings and vows and made their way down the aisle covered in confetti. After becoming husband and wife they headed to the pool to fill their champagne tower and mingle with their guests.

Laine and Jamie spent the afternoon exploring the grounds for some portraits before making their way to the reception. The night was spent toasting the newlyweds, cutting the delicious cake and hitting the dance floor.

If you’re all about achieving that effortless elegance in the Southern Highlands for your wedding, take a look at their gorgeous wedding!

Hayden and Vivian's Wedding

Hayden and Vivian had a special mission: they wanted to have beautiful creative photos taken around the south coast on their wedding day. Having already tied the knot earlier in the year they decided to hire a holiday home in Broughton Vale for their closest family and friends to celebrate with. They teamed up with talented vendors and focused on everything that would turn their dream day into a stunning reality.

Once they finished their intimate ceremony their guests joined them for portraits along the coastline. We visited Seven Mile Beach, Kiama Blowhole and finished with Apex Park in Berry. It was so nice that the whole group joined the couple at each location, making the whole day one big celebration.
